Veolia Water UK Limited is seeking a Senior Team Leader of mechanical engineers and fitters in Manchester. You will oversee asset overhauls, complex repairs and on-site supervision across sites, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operation.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a senior team of mechanical engineers and fitters across multiple sites
• Overhaul and replace complex assets; perform detailed maintenance
• Repair, modify and decommission dewatering equipment, pumps, pipework and valves
• Supervise on-site work under CDM regulations; manage subcontractors and crews
• Coordinate testing and install certificates; ensure safety paperwork is complete
• Liaise with customers on-site as primary contact; support energy-efficient operation

What you'll be doing:

• Work as the senior team leader of a team of other mechanical engineers and mechanical fitters, often consisting of two or more engineers across a range of sites
• Carry out complex and detailed asset overhauls and replacements
• Undertake complex mechanical repairs and modifications dewatering equipment, pumps, pipework, valves and other ancillary equipment
• Working under CDM regulations on projects work
• Responsible for day to day on site supervision of employees and subcontractors
• Undertake standby cover and overtime as required as well as flexibility to work away from home
• Complete test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents
• Complete customer paperwork such as permits to work and safety paperwork
• Work alongside on site customer teams and sub contractors
• Liaise on site with customers as the primary point of contact
• Lead the maintenance and repair of dewatering equipment and ancillaries on sewage and clean water treatment facilities.
• Ensure energy efficient operation of assets and minimise downtime and potential pollution risks by effectively maintaining assets and following prescribed Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Minimise waste and promote good contractor practices such as efficient job organisation, waste management and environmental risk assessments

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial environment and leading mechanical installations
• Proven track record in asset replacement and maintenance of water/sewage treatment equipment
• NVQ Level 3 or recognized apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance
• Valid UK Driving License and Compex certification
• Current SSSTS Card and Confined Space certification
• First Aid and IOSH certifications required

Additional qualifications desired:

• Clean Water, SHEA Water, DSEAR Awareness
• Preferred certifications: PASMA and CSCS Gold Card
