Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited in Southampton seeks a hands-on Technician - Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance to maintain Liebherr lifting machinery and cranes, ensuring safe operation in a 24/7 intermodal hub.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will service, fault-find and repair heavy lift equipment, perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, and keep accurate records while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 engineering qualification is required.
• Apprentice-trained or time-served engineering experience.
• Practical experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance.
• Strong commitment to safe working practices.
• Ability to fault-find methodically and complete repairs to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, inspect, fault-find and repair heavy lift equipment.
• Complete electrical and mechanical maintenance activities safely and to the required technical standard.
• Follow engineering procedures, health and safety requirements and local safety policies.
• Keep accurate and comprehensive maintenance, defect and repair records in line with company and legislative requirements.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requirements quickly and professionally to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards to keep the yard and terminal clean, organised and safe.
