Job Description:

Job title: Senior Mechanical Designer

Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Working as a Senior Designer or at that level with proven CAD experience to create 2D and 3D designs for a range of products
• Developing detailed designs and data packs from conceptual information for manufacturing
• Managing engineering/manufacturing interfaces and overseeing production practices
• Managing engineering changes through a robust process as designs progress

Your skills and experiences:

• Proven experience in a Senior Designer role
• Expertise in 2D and 3D CAD tools, preferably Siemens NX
• Experience designing to meet environmental standards (EMC, Shock, Vibration)
• Knowledge of design for manufacture and maintainability
• Understanding of BS8888 Engineering Drawing standards
• Understanding of electrical drawing practices and circuit diagram creation
• HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
