Job summary

EVera Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Design Manager to lead the Mechanical Design & Product Engineering function, ensuring projects move from customer brief to production. You will lead engineering projects, manage resources and priorities, develop plans and milestones, drive governance and continuous improvement, and oversee supplier engagement.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing engineering teams and delivering New Product Development (NPD) projects.
• Strong understanding of precision engineering and machining processes.
• Experience with project management, resource planning and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through to production release.
• Manage engineering resources, priorities and project delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones and risk management activities.
• Drive programme governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support supplier engagement and technical reviews.
• Improve engineering processes, documentation and design governance.
• Oversee quality activities across incoming inspection, production and final release.
• Act as the key interface between Engineering and other business functions.
