RSE in Dewsbury is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Asset Management platform. This role encompasses overseeing mechanical design facets of water treatment projects from conception to implementation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Chartered engineer status preferred.
• Experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment is desirable.
• Strong design management skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.
• Lead development of mechanical design deliverables.
• Coordinate checking and approval processes.
• Mentor junior engineers to develop a mechanical design team.

Skills

Mechanical design engineering experience within municipal water/wastewater treatment

Experience of working in a multidisciplinary design team

Design management experience

Programme/financial management

Ability to work on multiple projects consecutively

Chartered engineer status

Full UK Driving Licence

Education

Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
