The role sits in a multidisciplinary team delivering design and technical assurance for water and wastewater schemes across regions, offering flexible and collaborative working arrangements.

Responsibilities span concept to detailed design, condition assessments, life-cycle costing, and mentoring junior engineers, within a dynamic UK water infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 5-10 years' post-graduate experience in water sector projects.
• Experience delivering mechanical design for water/wastewater systems.
• Familiarity with AMP7 or AMP8 frameworks.
• Strong communication and proactive delivery in engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical design solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Provide input across all design stages from concept to preliminary design.
• Carry out condition assessments and root-cause analysis of failures.
• Contribute to life-cycle cost analysis and technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve mechanical challenges.
