Coleman James in London is seeking a Mechanical Technical Engineer to join our client’s team. The role focuses on delivering and technically authorising mechanical design information across preconstruction to completion, with emphasis on early design stages and collaboration with MEP consultants.

You will support the Mechanical Technical Manager, develop strong relationships with CDP designers, and help maximise value while mitigating risk. A strong technical background is essential.

Formación

• HND / NVQ in a Mechanical or Building Services subject is preferable, but experience may count.
• Experience in a design consultancy / D&B contractor or technical / design management role.
• Strong understanding of design responsibilities and knowledge of relevant sector practices.
• Good understanding of project lifecycle, including RIBA and BSRIA work stages.

Responsabilidades

• Develop good working relations with MEP and Digital Engineering Consultants on allocated project.
• Support Mechanical Technical Manager in delivering design and technical engineering management.
• Support and mentor Junior Technical Engineers.
• Assist in the preparation of MEP consultant appointments.
• Contribute to Designing for Safety and CDM.
• Undertake detailed design reviews and manage technical risks and opportunities.
• Monitor and manage MEP design progress.
• Technically review major packages, plant and equipment.
• Validate site installation and system operation against the design.
• Provide technical trouble-shooting support.
