Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in engineering or equivalent experience
• MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND with relevant experience
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and BS standards/UK regulations
• Proficient in MS Office and IT-based calculation tools
• Strong project management and client-facing communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large mechanical design projects from concept to delivery
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering services and liaise with clients, contractors and teams
• Develop and specify control systems and building services applications
• Perform surveys and dilapidation assessments of existing installations
• Ensure designs meet functional specifications, legal standards, and project requirements
• Lead technical meetings and provide guidance on project progress and outcomes
• Oversee QA/QC checks, calculations, drawings, and design coordination
