Delve Search - Global Search Consultants is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Custom Projects Team in the United Kingdom. This role focuses on customer-driven engineering projects, delivering bespoke solutions for high-precision instruments.

You will own the development from concept to implementation, balancing innovation with practical constraints. The role involves collaborating across functions, performing calculations and analyses, and ensuring designs meet demanding timelines

Qualifications

A Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
Proven track record in mechanical product development.
Experience designing precision mechanisms or engineered assemblies.
Strong 3D CAD capability.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, and assembly processes.
Excellent practical problem-solving skills.
The ability to balance innovation with delivering solutions within demanding timescales.

Responsibilities

Designing bespoke mechanical solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
Taking ownership of projects from concept through to implementation.
Creating innovative design concepts and evaluating multiple technical approaches.
Performing engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and FEA where required.
Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs can be delivered efficiently.
Supporting testing, validation, and product introduction activities.
Collaborating with customers to fully understand application requirements and performance expectations.
