Job summary

ibse is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in London to lead client-side mechanical building services design on high-profile property projects. The role offers a salary of £58,000 with a discretionary bonus of around 10% plus a strong benefits package.

You’ll develop the commercial aspects of design, project management and client management while working within a leading property consultancy’s in-house M&E team. A structured path towards CEng and CPD is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical building services design projects in a client-side capacity.
• Strong client-facing design and project management experience.
• Awareness of budgeting, contracts, and programme delivery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out full detailed mechanical design.
• Provide client advisory directly with end user clients.
• Coordinate project management with engineering and real estate disciplines.
• Prepare specifications, reports, design drawings and budgeting costs.
• Peer review and oversight of external consultant designs.
• Manage client projects and relationships.
