Carrington West is supporting a leading engineering consultancy to appoint a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team. The role focuses on Mechanical Building Services design across HVAC and Public Health systems, with emphasis on delivering projects, client liaison, and mentoring junior engineers.

You will hold a relevant engineering degree, be Chartered or on track to Chartered status, and you will lead multidisciplinary teams while ensuring quality, compliance, and excellent

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering.
• CIBSE membership, ideally Chartered.
• Proven Mechanical Building Services experience.
• Strong HVAC and Public Health design experience.
• Experience creating specs and designs.
• Experience with multidisciplinary design teams.
• Experience contributing to bids and proposals.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Design and specify Mechanical Building Services systems.
• Produce drawings, specifications, calculations and technical reports.
• Undertake site surveys and provide support during construction.
• Coordinate mechanical design with multidisciplinary teams.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Contribute to tenders, bids, proposals, and scopes of work.
• Support project delivery, including programme, cost, quality and client requirements.
• Take responsibility for mechanical services on small to medium projects.
• Promote quality, compliance and engineering best practice across projects.
