My client is a leading engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in the building services sector. With a team of 40 experienced engineers, they specialize in commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects, consistently pushing the boundaries of design excellence and efficiency.

Role Overview:

They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical building services engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across various project types.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage mechanical design projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards.
2. Develop and review detailed mechanical design drawings, specifications, and calculations for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
3. Collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure integrated and optimized design solutions.
4. Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
5. Conduct site inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with design specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
6. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to maintain and enhance the quality of our services.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent certification preferred.
3. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within the building services sector.
4. Proven track record in leading mechanical design projects for commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings.
5. Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
6. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
7. Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or similar tools).
