Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer for a globally recognised engineering and manufacturing business near Sheffield. You will deliver bespoke mechanical designs for complex customer applications, working closely with Sales, Applications and Manufacturing to ensure feasibility and delivery.

Key requirements include a degree or equivalent, strong 3D CAD capabilities, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work at pace on bespoke products.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical design background with ability to deliver bespoke designs.
• Excellent communication skills and proactive, analytical approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales, Application Engineering and Manufacturing to deliver designs.
• Review customer requirements and develop innovative concepts meeting technical and commercial needs.
• Modify existing designs and create new designs for unique applications.
• Support product development and produce associated bills of materials.
• Act as technical contact for customers and internal teams to solve challenges quickly.
