Job summary

PMB Manufacturing & Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for an office-based role in Aldershot. You will own projects from concept through to completion, using SolidWorks for modelling, creating assemblies and BOMs, conducting customer reviews, and supporting the workshop during build.

You will mentor junior designers, collaborate with a small design team across mechanical, electrical, and control aspects, and travel to customer sites as needed, sometimes

Qualifications

• Formally educated in mechanical engineering via degree or apprenticeship.
• SolidWorks proficiency demonstrated in past projects.
• Proven ability to deliver projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from concept through to completion with ownership responsibilities.
• Model in SolidWorks and prepare assemblies and detailed drawings.
• Create BOMs, conduct customer reviews, and support workshop during build.
• Guide technical decisions and mentor junior designers.
• Collaborate with a small team across mechanical, electrical, and control disciplines to deliver on time and to spec.
