Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

One of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of bespoke materials handling, conveying systems, and industrial equipment, with supporting structural framework, is looking to secure the services of an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

The company, with a heritage of over four decades, commenced trade supplying to the mining community and has since successfully diversified into new sectors including Power, Waste, Water, and Quarrying where it enjoys a strong reputation of project delivery.

Due to continued growth and increased projects, you will join a team of 5 highly capable engineers working on individual projects in a collaborative fashion.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, a short summary of the duties & responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to,

• Design parts, assemblies and installations using SolidWorks.
• Provide technical support to ensure equipment is manufactured, tested, installed, and commissioned in accordance with design and operational requirements.
• Contribute to the delivery of mechanical aspects of projects, either individually or as
  part of a project team. This includes the following: specification, design development,
  design reviews, change management, design risk assessments, implementation,
  integration, and commissioning.
• Ensuring that the Health and Safety Policy, hazard and risk analysis, compliance with
  Construction Design and Management and any other regulations are adhered to within
  the scope of work.
• Ensuring that the Quality Policy and procedures are adhered to within the scope of work.

Desirable Experience / Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years Design Experience
• Sector experience in Heavy Engineering / Water Treatment / Bespoke Industrial Equipment / Materials Handling systems
• Engineering Qualification ideal HNC, Level 3 considered
• A Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH)
• Full UK driving licence
