Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services / MEP

Near Southampton, Hampshire – Hybrid

This building services design role is to join a highly professional friendly team of specialist design engineers. They are involved in a wide range of projects including schools, office builds, retail, councils, and high spec residential, always maintaining a focus on sustainable design.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out the designs for a diverse range of building services
• To include design from concept to handover, including preparation of drawings, specifications, and all relevant tender documentation.
• Producing drawings (Layouts, Schematics, & Sections),
• To produce estimates as required and formulate budgets for projects as required.
• Working as part of a team to ensure that coordination is achieved.
• Reviewing and commenting on information provided by the client and other members of the professional team.
• Reviewing and commenting on information provided by contactors/sub–contractors.
• Attending and contributing to design team meetings, client meetings, pre–contract and post–contract meetings.
• Guiding junior team members.

Experience Required

• To be successful in this role you will be an experienced mechanical design engineer within building services.
• Experience should include a range of project types.
• Degree qualified and having completed several major projects from inception to competition.
• The motivation to work independently and alongside other disciplines to produce coordinated high–quality designs.
