Job summary

KBM Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a reputable Oil and Gas company based in Aberdeen. You will deliver mechanical engineering solutions, assist the Lead Design Engineer, mentor the team, assist with calculations and input into tendering and FEED scopes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
• Proficient in structural analysis tool such as MathCad or FS2000/Staad.
• Experience with fabrication practices and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Mechanical Engineering activities across projects.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, manufacturing drawings, layout drawings and associated documentation.
• Carry out mechanical analysis and calculations.
• Work closely with design and engineering teams.
• Support and mentor less experienced team members.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Participate in sales and tendering support.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
