Job description

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Cambridge – 9 months+ – Healthcare projects

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in a Design Engineering role, preferably with a Tier 1 Main Contractor or Tier 1 MEP Sub–contractor in the UK.

1. Experience in delivering major healthcare projects exceeding 100M, including design for mechanical, electrical, and public health packages.
2. Proven track record in projects with a BREEAM Excellent rating.
3. Responsible for managing the Building Services Consultancy to deliver MEP design, review, and coordination with the MEP Sub–contractor.
4. Qualifications: Degree in a relevant subject and Professional chartership (e.g., MCIBSE, IMechE).
5. Location: Based on-site in Cambridge, 4 days a week, with 1 day flexible for working from home.
6. Applicants should be within commuting/driving distance to Cambridge.
