Job Description:

Our client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of automated machinery. Due to their continued success, Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of automated machinery, overseeing projects from concept to build, and providing technical support during machine installations and commissioning.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Producing design drawings for equipment orders and product development projects
• Managing projects effectively and controlling drawings
• Attending client specification meetings in the UK and occasionally overseas
• Providing technical guidance and support for internal and external customers
• Producing parts lists, assembly drawings, and detailed drawings

Candidate:

Experience in designing electro-mechanical equipment using 3D modelling skills (SolidWorks). At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

HNC or higher qualification in mechanical engineering and/or design.

Good understanding of packaging machinery or sheet metal fabrication, with the confidence to lead larger projects technically.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours
