Job summary

Build Recruitment is assisting a well-established contractor in Plymouth to appoint a Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager. You will lead and deliver a portfolio of mechanical projects across healthcare, education, commercial and industrial sectors from inception to completion.

The role demands strong commercial focus, proven leadership, and an ability to manage complex technical projects while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience managing commercial and industrial mechanical projects.
• Strong contract and commercial management experience is required.
• Experience delivering technically complex projects is essential.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills are expected.
• Strong leadership and organisational abilities are required.
• Relevant mechanical qualifications are necessary.
• SMSTS and site/project management qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing mechanical contracts and projects from inception through to completion.
• Overseeing subcontractors, site teams and mechanical engineers.
• Managing programmes, budgets, procurement and variations.

Build Recruitment are working with an established contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level mechanical professional with a strong commercial and industrial background, looking to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects across universities, healthcare, commercial and industrial environments.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the successful management and delivery of mechanical projects, overseeing contracts from pre-construction through to completion.
