Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Manchester is seeking a Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to lead the design and delivery of HVAC systems for critical infrastructure and energy projects, including substations and HVDC facilities. The role combines hands-on design with technical leadership across multi-disciplinary teams.

You'll guide calculations, specifications and reports from concept to construction, mentor junior engineers, ensure compliance with UK regulations and industry

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• CEng or working towards chartership preferred.
• Strong experience in mechanical building services and HVAC design.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, CDM and applicable standards.
• Experience with CAD and 3D modelling tools.
• Ability to lead technical workstreams and engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading mechanical and HVAC design from concept through to construction support.
• Producing and reviewing calculations, specifications, reports and studies.
• Designing HVAC, plumbing and related building services systems.
• Performing load calculations, ventilation design and pipe/duct sizing.
