Job summary

Expert Employment Limited seeks a Senior Mechanical Automotive Design Engineer for a permanent role in a high performance whole car design team based in Maryport. You will deliver 3D models and detailed drawings for components and chassis, and perform hand calculations and CAE analysis.

Key focus areas include materials, structures and manufacturing processes direction, with commercial automotive experience in suspension, brakes, steering and chassis design. CATIA V5 is desirable.

This permanent position as a Senior Mechanical Automotive Design Engineer sits within a high performance whole car design team based in Maryport.

Salary ranges from 42,000 to 65,000 per annum.

• Produce 3D models and detailed drawings for components, assemblies and chassis systems.
• Hand calculations, analysis and CAE.
• Materials, structures and manufacturing processes direction.

• Commercial experience in a competitive, automotive engineering focused environment Vehicle mechanism design of suspension, brakes, steering and chassis experience.
• CAD skills ideally with CATIA V5.
• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Motorsport Engineering.
