Job summary

Samsung Electronics is seeking a Senior MCX Engineer to lead testing, performance and operational availability of MCX cores, from design through deployment. You will provide SME input on test strategy, manage escalations, and collaborate with global teams to meet SLAs.

You will apply deep knowledge of 4G/5G core, IMS, and VoLTE, performing end-to-end troubleshooting across LTE and TETRA networks, with strong SDLC discipline and on-call flexibility.

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise of IMS and VoLTE architecture, and 3GPP specs.
• Experience testing Mission Critical Voice/Video/Data services in commercial networks.
• Proficient with testing tools: Wireshark, logs, IXIA, and ticketing apps Jira/ServiceNow.
• Strong end-to-end troubleshooting for LTE/TETRA networks.
• Engineering degree or equivalent in CS/ Electronics / Telecoms.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, performance and availability of MCX cores from design to operations.
• Daily SME support for defect triage calls to resolve complex networks issues.
• Lifecycle management of trouble tickets to successful resolution, with R&D data provided.
• Lead deep dive analytics and fault investigations of feature and performance test cases.
• Peer-review and release of daily test progress reports to highlight risks to timelines.
• Plan and execute sw upgrade and regression testing on VNF-based Core nodes on VMware.
