Job summary

Artemis Human Capital is seeking a Matrimonial Solicitor with 3+ PQE to join a specialist practice in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. You will handle a varied caseload including divorce, financial settlements and complex ancillary relief, drafting documents and negotiating settlements while advising clients with clarity and empathy.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in divorce and matrimonial finance.
• Experience handling ancillary relief/financial settlement matters.
• Experience managing own caseload with autonomy.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and client management skills.
• Strong attention to detail with complex financial information.
• Confidence dealing with high-value or contentious matrimonial matters.
• Good advocacy and court experience or interest in developing it.
• Empathetic, practical approach to client care.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of matrimonial matters from instruction to conclusion.
• Advise on divorce and separation.
• Handle financial settlements and ancillary relief proceedings.
• Deal with division of matrimonial and non-matrimonial assets.
• Advise on pensions, property, business interests, trusts and other complex assets.
• Draft petitions, pleadings, statements and court documents.
• Conduct negotiations and progress settlements where appropriate.
• Prepare cases for court and attend hearings.
• Liaise with counsel and other professionals including accountants and valuers.
• Provide clear, commercially minded advice through challenging periods.
