Job summary

WasteRecruit Ltd is seeking a Materials Trading Commercial Manager (Recycling) with home-based flexibility and UK travel. You will lead the Materials Trading team, oversee offtake and trading activity, and develop/contracts strategies to maximise value from recyclable materials.

The role requires strong senior commercial and trading experience, deep waste industry knowledge, and proven leadership. Travel across the UK is expected; a company car or car allowance is provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Senior commercial/trading or management experience
• Strong waste industry knowledge
• Experience managing contracts in materials trading, recycling or waste
• Proven commercial and financial acumen
• Experience supporting bids, tenders or business development opportunities
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent attention to detail with contracts and reports
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
• Excellent collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage materials offtake and trading activity UK-wide
• Develop, negotiate and manage offtaker contracts
• Support bidding opportunities with pricing and market data
• Lead Materials Trading team and report performance
• Represent the company at industry groups and meetings
• Ensure contractual compliance with Operations and SHEQ
