Resolian Inc. is seeking a highly driven Senior Scientist in Materials Science to lead laboratory research and strategy, delivering high‑quality outputs for clients. The role combines hands‑on experimental work with leadership, external engagement, and scientific innovation.

You will independently manage multi‑faceted projects, mentor scientists, and represent the team at client meetings and scientific events. A MSc/PhD in a related field and GMP experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in materials science or related field; MSc/PhD preferred.
• Strong experience in solid‑state and physical characterisation in a pharmaceutical setting.
• Hands‑on experience of solid form screening and crystallization.
• Hands‑on method development, troubleshooting, and project leadership.
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting to external audiences.
• Proven ability to deliver results independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with pre‑formulation or early formulation activities.
• Experience working in regulated/GMP‑aligned environments.
• Knowledge of complementary analytical techniques (e.g., spectroscopy).
• Familiarity with regulatory expectations for solid‑state and physical‑properties data

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific work packages, managing timelines and delivery of high‑quality data packages.
• Balance multiple experimental projects while maintaining scientific rigor and operational efficiency.
• Introduce new lab techniques, instrumentation, and best practices to strengthen team capability.
• Mentor junior scientists in hands‑on laboratory methods and scientific problem‑solving.
• Support the establishment of pre‑formulation and early formulation experimental workflows.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory operations.
• Present scientific work at conferences, client meetings, and workshops.
• Support business development by showcasing capabilities internally and externally.
• Build strong relationships with clients as a technical expert.
