Job summary

Cranleigh STEM is seeking a Materials Development Project Leader in South London. You will own technical projects at the intersection of materials science, product development and innovation, leading from early research to commercialisation.

You will collaborate with R&D, engineering and commercial teams, suppliers, and partners across the UK, Europe and US to influence how new materials are developed and brought to market.

Qualifications

• Strong background in industrial materials development and polymers.
• Experience coordinating technical development activities and working with suppliers/external partners.
• Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Polymer Engineering or related discipline; PhD not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from early-stage research through scale-up and commercialisation.
• Coordinate R&D, engineering and commercial teams; manage resources and timelines.
• Evaluate material performance and solve technical challenges to move projects forward.
