Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Senior Analyst for Markets Middle Office Trade Controls in London. The role focuses on evolving a data-driven control function with automation, analytics and AI-enabled controls to strengthen proactive risk management.

You will supervise intraday reconciliations across multiple tradable products and collaborate with Front Office and platform teams to resolve breaks and prevent recurrences, contributing to a forward-looking control environment.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of Middle Office control frameworks.
• Experience investigating reconciliation breaks.
• Product knowledge across FX, money markets, derivatives, bonds or repos.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of risk, control and audit processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly with Front Office colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Confidence reviewing work and challenging decisions.
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking and monitoring intraday reconciliations across tradable products, including derivatives, FX, money markets, futures, bonds and repos.
• Investigating reconciliation breaks and exceptions and supporting timely resolution.
• Coordinating with Front Office and support teams to request trade amendments and updates.
• Ensuring T0 exceptions are cleared promptly to protect trade integrity and revenue.
• Carrying out root cause analysis across breaks and reporting.
• Identifying trends and raising issues to prevent recurrence.
• Updating automation tools with explanations of exceptions and actions taken.
• Working with Markets platform teams to resolve systemic issues affecting Trade Controls.
• Reviewing reconciliations completed by colleagues to validate outcomes.
