Job summary

Citi Global Markets is seeking professionals for the 1st Line of Defense Markets Controls Testing team. The role plans, executes and reports control testing across trading and sales activities, coaching juniors and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards.

You will challenge control designs, drive remediation where needed, and build strong relationships with Front Office, Compliance and Risk teams. Bachelor-level education and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Front Office controls testing, internal audit, external audit, or similar.
• Understanding of Markets activities and associated regulations.
• Knowledge of Markets operational and compliance risks and related controls.
• Strong understanding of control design assessment and effectiveness testing techniques.
• Experience coaching and developing team members.
• Experience overseeing a team to deliver rigor and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Executing and reporting results of control testing.
• Supervising and coaching junior team members in control testing execution.
• Monitoring progress against testing timelines and resolving delivery obstacles.
• Maintaining high standards and best practices for testing activities.
• Providing challenge to stakeholders on design and effectiveness of controls.
• Supporting remediation identified through testing.
• Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance and Operational Risk.
• Presenting impactful outputs from the testing programme to stakeholders.
