Job summary

Citi Global Markets is seeking a professional for the 1st Line of Defense Markets Controls Testing team. The role supports ongoing control testing across Markets, with responsibility for design, execution and reporting to ensure robust risk management and compliance.

The candidate will engage with Front Office, Compliance and Risk stakeholders, bringing strong testing discipline and the ability to challenge control design and effectiveness. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in Front Office controls testing or related audits.
• Knowledge of Markets Sales and Trading activities, risks and related controls.
• Strong understanding of control design assessment and testing techniques.
• Experience building and sustaining senior stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Execute controls design and operating effectiveness testing to timelines.
• Maintain high standards and best practices for testing activities and documentation.
• Challenge stakeholders on design and effectiveness of controls.
• Support remediation identified through the testing programme.
• Maintain relationships across Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance and Operational Risk.
• Draft impactful summaries from the testing programme.
