• Proven experience in marine insurance underwriting.
• Strong technical knowledge of marine insurance products and associated risks.
• Excellent analytical, risk assessment and decision-making skills.
• Strong broker relationship management and negotiation abilities.
• Commercially minded with a focus on profitable portfolio growth.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied underwriting portfolio.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite a range of marine insurance risks in line with underwriting guidelines and appetite.
• Assess and evaluate new business submissions, renewals and policy amendments.
• Review risk exposures, determine appropriate pricing and negotiate terms and conditions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and key market stakeholders.
• Manage and develop a profitable portfolio of marine business.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to portfolio growth.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective risk management and underwriting performance.
