Lawes Consulting Group is partnering with a leading London Market marine (re)insurer to appoint a Senior Marine Hull Underwriter. This is a senior, autonomous role with influence over a significant portfolio.

You will manage underwriting for Hull risks, develop profitable book growth, and build strong broker/client relationships across international markets.

Qualifications

• Significant Marine Hull underwriting experience within the London Market or Lloyd's.
• Professional qualifications such as ACII/CII or equivalent are advantageous.
• Track record of profitable underwriting and portfolio development.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Marine Hull risks per authority and business objectives.
• Assess high-value risks with strong technical judgment on pricing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with London Market brokers and clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive portfolio growth.
• Mentor junior underwriters and support governance standards.
