Job summary

Darthaven Marina, based in Kingswear on the River Dart, is seeking a skilled Marine Engineer to join our team.

You will handle fault-finding, repowering, and upgrading vessels, perform breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance, and work on engines, electrical systems, gearboxes, and generators. We offer a competitive salary, 40-hour week, on-call requirements, and a friendly, family-owned environment.

Qualifications

• At least five years experience working as a Marine Engineer (references required).
• Strong customer focus with the ability to communicate with customers in person, by email and over the telephone.
• A team player with basic IT skills.
• A manual UK driving licence and good literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding, repowering and upgrading of older vessels and marine leisure, commercial vessels and generators.
• Breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance.
• Work on inboard/outboard engines, electrical systems, gearboxes, stern drives and generators.
• Maintain service records and liaise with customers to keep them updated and provide high levels of service.
• Respond to enquiries and ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
