Make your mark as a Senior Marine Engine Fitter at Gardline!

We are looking for a Senior Marine Engine Fitter to provide a skilled mechanical engineering and technical service for the marine workshop and company fleet of multi-role survey vessels.

This role is workshop based in Great Yarmouth but will also require attendance at mobilisations or travel to company vessels both in the UK and abroad, sometimes at short notice.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing a skilled mechanical engineering and technical service for the marine workshop.
  • Maintain a high standard and quality of work in the marine workshop & on vessels.
  • Repair and maintain the company’s fleet of survey vessels, at any location worldwide & ensure timely completion.
  • Carry out class machinery surveys as instructed by superintendents.
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental company policies are adhered to & promote safe working practices.

Your qualities:

  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Personal drive and a focus on health and safety.
  • Qualifications to C&G in engineering or similar.
  • Time served marine engineer and proven work history within marine engineering.
  • Team spirit together with a proactive, and diligent work ethic.

  • A full drivers’ license is required.
  • A Forklift license and a valid ENG 1 medical would be advantageous.
  • Where you will work: Endeavour House, Admiralty Road, Great Yarmouth.
  • Fulltime job: The position of Senior Marine Engine Fitter is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week.
