Job summary

Oyster Yachts is seeking a Lead Electrical Design Engineer to drive electrical design across the yacht range. You will produce detailed 2D CAD schematics, panel drawings and cable schedules for Production, while maintaining design standards and supporting R&D and value engineering.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Joinery, Procurement and the Design team to ensure quality, timely delivery and compliance with contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Design-related degree or equivalent electrical design experience.
• Extensive knowledge of marine AC/DC electrical systems and installation.
• Proven ability to produce accurate 2D electrical drawings and panels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical design standards across the Oyster range.
• Produce, check, update and issue 2D electrical schematic and panel drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop contract-specific 2D CAD electrical information for Production.
• Produce accurate cable running schedules aligned with manufacturing.
• Lead the Electrical Design Change Request (DCR) process.
