Tailored resume and cover letter, ready to send.
IDEX Consulting Ltd. is partnering with a growing London Market insurer to recruit an experienced Marine Cargo professional.
You will own the preparation of MRC slips for new enquiries, load contracts in PPL, and support brokers with documentation for underwriters. The role emphasizes moving beyond basic processing, offering exposure to high-stakes submissions and a team‑oriented, hybrid working environment in London.
Are you an experienced Marine Cargo Technician looking to move away from basic processing and actually focus on supporting brokers through their new business submissions?
And are you someone who is looking for progression and not just a sideways move.
Or perhaps you're a Marine Cargo Placing Broker who enjoys the technical side of what you do but would prefer to move away from active broking?
I'm working with a growing London Market insurance business looking to strengthen its Marine Cargo team with an experienced technical professional who can take ownership of new business preparation and support a busy team of brokers.
This isn't a traditional processing or technician role.
You'll play an important part in the placing process, with responsibility for constructing MRC slips from new business submissions and ensuring brokers have the documentation they need to approach underwriters, secure terms and get involved in the odd "broke"
Take ownership of preparing MRC slips for new Marine Cargo enquiries, working from information received directly from clients. Prepare slips, endorsements and renewal documentation for the broking team.
Use PPL to load contracts and process change endorsements. Liaise with clients, underwriters and internal processing teams to keep business moving efficiently.
Become a key part of a growing team, helping accommodate increasing new business volumes while maintaining a high standard of technical work.
Someone with at least three years Marine Cargo insurance experience who understands the London Market and can hit the ground running. You might be an established Marine Cargo Technician looking for more responsibility and greater involvement in the new business placements.
Alternatively, you could be a Cargo Placing Broker who enjoys constructing slips, preparing submissions and supporting placements, but is ready for a more internal role without the expectation of actively broking business in the Lloyds market.
You'll ideally have hands-on MRC slip construction experience and familiarity with PPL. The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and produce accurate documentation is essential.
This is an opportunity to join a growing Marine Cargo operation where your technical expertise will make a tangible difference.
You'll work closely with experienced brokers, take responsibility for an important part of the placing process and develop your expertise in a role that goes beyond routine administration.
A top salary is on offer which is very much negotiable (express interest to discuss). Hybrid working is on offer to suit.
