Job summary

MBDA Missile Systems is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join the Manufacturing team. You will support electrical/electronic test and diagnostics across early product lifecycles, ensuring targets are met in time, cost and quality.

You will collaborate with Operations and design teams to implement test strategies, develop test documentation, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced facility with a mix of engineers at varying levels of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification level 4 or higher in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Aerospace/Mechanical).
• Must include modules for Electronic or Electrical Principles.
• Several years' experience in related industry/manufacturing.
• Good understanding of electrical/electronic measurement and test techniques.
• Experience using manual and automated test equipment, preferably in a defence/manufacturing setting.
• Familiar with ERP/MES systems (SAP, MES) for recording tests and non-conformances.
• Ability to plan, organise work and meet project objectives.
• Strong verbal/written communication and test documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Test Engineering support during Design through Production Readiness Review.
• Assist with Test Facility introduction and ensure configuration control.
• Test electrical/electronic sub-assemblies with fault diagnosis to component level.
• Collaborate with Operations, design teams and stakeholders on challenges.
• Deliver in line with programme and quality requirements with governance.
• Support test strategy implementation with project engineers.
• Draft initial process flows for new products with Manufacturing management.
• Create and maintain test documentation for production equipment.
• Support Process FMEA with mitigation plans.
• Design/test fixtures for new products and estimate testing times.
• Assist design engineers with functional and environmental testing of prototypes.
