Job summary

Enoda in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to optimise products for scalable manufacture and deliver process and equipment solutions for near- and mid-term production.

You will collaborate with design and quality teams, perform DFx reviews, drive design reviews for manufacturability, support ISO/EN compliance, and partner with supply chain to ensure supplier readiness and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong background in production/manufacturing engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering.
• Experience in scaling manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).
• Strong understanding of design engineering principles and DFM/DFA methodology.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process design and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in drawing review.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineers to integrate CAD design seamlessly into the product development process.
• Perform DFx reviews on new products and designs to ensure manufacturability.
• Drive design reviews and ensure solutions meet functional, safety, and quality standards.
• Participate in design reviews, offering process-driven insights and identifying potential manufacturing challenges early.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to troubleshoot issues during assembly/test, and participate in RCA/continuous improvement.
• Partner with Quality and Audit to develop testing protocols and ensure compliance with ISO and EN standards.
• Collaborate with supply chain on supplier readiness for mechanical components and assemblies.
• Identify opportunities for design optimisation, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
• Foster a collaborative team environment focused on quality and innovation.
