Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Senior or Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join the GCAP program in Edinburgh, responsible for transitioning new products from design to manufacture and leading front-end manufacturing engineering activities. You will develop robust processes and provide complex technical advice to internal and external customers.

The role involves designing manufacturing methods, validating processes, reviewing risk assessments, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing engineering ability required (HNC or equivalent).
• Desirable HND or above in engineering.
• Ability to challenge/resolve technical/process issues using data.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end manufacturing engineering activities for new products.
• Provide DFx input into design and resolve production capability issues.
• Develop and review manufacturing plans and processes across lifecycle stages.
• Conduct manufacturing maturity reviews and governance through Lifecycle Management.
