Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, on-site. The role focuses on developing manufacturing processes for cutting-edge defence systems, defining operations, and producing detailed manufacturing BOMs and routings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UK manufacturing experience, preferably in defence/aerospace; eligible for UK SC clearance.
• Knowledge of lean principles, Six Sigma and quality tools.
• Experience with CAD for 2D drawings and SAP/MRP/BOMs management.
• Ability to drive change and improve processes while working cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes for assemblies and equipment.
• Define operations sequences and production layouts; ensure lean flow.
• Provide basis of estimates for shop floor activities across technologies.
• Identify tooling and fixturing requirements; support capital plans.
