Job summary

Vectis Recruitment is recruiting a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a rapidly growing manufacturer of advanced composite products serving Aerospace, Defence and High Technology sectors. You will be involved from concept through to delivery, using your composites expertise to optimise production.

You will develop manufacturing processes for composites, support NPIs, drive efficiency and quality via continuous improvement, interpret drawings, and solve complex production challenges while

Qualifications

• Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a complex engineering environment.
• Experience with process development, NPI and continuous improvement.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must be able to gain security clearance.
• Excellent communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for composite components.
• Support the introduction of new products and processes into production.
• Drive production efficiency and quality through continuous improvement activities.
• Work closely with management to ensure production estimates are correct.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing and process-related issues.
• Conduct trials and validation of manufacturing processes to meet performance, cost, and quality objectives.

You will be involved from initial concept through to delivery and candidates are sought with experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer and a good understanding of composites.

The Role
