Job summary

E3recruitment is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a Global Engineering and Manufacturing leader. The role is based near Huddersfield, with responsibilities spanning SME support between design and shop floor, and driving continuous improvement.

Candidates should have CNC programming experience, GD&T knowledge, and be able to generate manufacturing drawings and routings. Competitive salary and solid pension benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in an engineering environment using turning, boring, milling and CNC processes.
• Knowledge of assembly processes and GD&T principles.
• Ability to interpret drawings and translate into manufacturing drawings and routings.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for manufacturing processes between Design Engineer team and Machine Tool Operators.
• Provide guidance and problem solving to Manufacturing & Assembly teams to maintain quality and schedules.
• Lead PFMEA reviews and drive continuous improvement across projects.

The successful Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will include:

• Be the Subject Matter Expert for manufacturing processes liaising between Design Engineer team and Machine Tool Operators
• Provide technical guidance, problem solving skills and direction to the Manufacturing & Assembly teams to ensure quality standards and programme schedules are maintained
• Advise on the manufacturability of components and ability of machines to achieve right first time during the design reviews
• Lead PFMEA reviews including process mapping, risk mitigation and creation of approval procedures
• Interpret and translate technical drawings into manufacturing drawings
• Drive Continuous Improvement within each project
• Create, maintain and improve works orders with accurate routings

For the Senior Manufacturing Engineer role, we are keen to receive CV’s from candidates who possess:

• Experience as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, within an Engineering environment where Turning, Boring, Milling and CNC processes are utilised
• A working knowledge of assembly processes
• A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• Ability to use 2D & 3D CAD
• Experience CNC programming

Salary & Benefits:

• £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday
• 37.5 hours per week
• 25 Days annual leave + Bank holidays
• Company pension contributions of up to 8%
