Job summary

TLT LLP is seeking an experienced Competition Lawyer to join its growing Competition, Regulatory & Trade team. The role offers opportunities across regulatory matters and broad exposure to UK and international clients.

You will advise on Investment Act analyses, notifications and compliance programmes, and play a role in business development while mentoring junior lawyers. Flexible hybrid working across multiple UK offices is available.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with circa 5–10 PQE across antitrust spectrum
• Experience in merger control, investigations and disputes is valued
• Ability to develop client relationships and contribute to BD initiatives

• Support on regulatory matters and client care, with cross-office collaboration

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Competition Lawyer to join TLT's growing Competition, Regulatory & Trade team. In addition to competition, there will be opportunities to support on a broad range of regulatory matters, providing exposure to a diverse and multidisciplinary practice.Recognised by The Legal 500, our Competition team advises a broad range of UK and international clients on complex, high-profile and strategic competition matters. The team is led by Partner, Miles Trower, alongside fellow Partners, Richard Collie and Stuart Murray.We operate national service lines and work on the basis that the best-placed lawyer supports the client, meaning your client base is not limited by geography. As a result, this role can be based in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow or London, with the benefit of our flexible, hybrid working approach.Your Role As an integral member of our Competition team, you can expect to be involved in:Advising clients on a, Investment Act analyses and notifications, compliance programmes and training.Broader regulatory experience (e.g. within consumer protection investigations and/or the Digital Markets Competition and Consumers Act), or a willingness to multi-skill, would be valuable.A forward thinker, able to demonstrate first class communication skills with the ability and confidence to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels.A proven track record in business development and maintaining strong client to develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses and objectives, acting in the best interests of both the firm and the client.Committed to contributing to our friendly and collaborative culture, with an ambition to assist in the development of junior team members.
