Job summary

TLT LLP is recruiting an Associate to join the Digital, Data and Commercial team in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or Edinburgh. The role suits a junior lawyer with 0–3 years PQE, offering flexible working.

You will handle commercial contracts across sectors and support a national and international client base. You will collaborate with Partners and colleagues across offices, supervise Trainees, and engage in business development to grow client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with NQ–3 years PQE and experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts.
• Desirable experience with sectors such as future energy, retail or public sector.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills with ability to manage deadlines.
• Commercial awareness with appetite for business development.
• Ambitious team player who can support senior fee earners and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

Your Role

We are recruiting for an Associate to join our Digital, Data and Commercial team in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or Edinburgh. This role is offered on a flexible working basis and would best suit a qualified, junior lawyer between 0-3 year's PQE.

• Managing a varied caseload, advising a national and international client base on a wide variety of commercial contract matters such as outsourcing, joint ventures, and franchising projects as well as day to day business arrangements, including agreements for the supply of goods and services, framework contracts and standard terms and conditions
• Advising clients across a broad range of sectors from financial services, retail, leisure, future energy and the public sector
• Collaborating closely with team members across our locations, including Partners, to meet tight deadlines and manage project work
• Supporting and supervising Trainees and Paralegals within the team
• Taking an active role in business development nurturing both existing and new client relationships

Your Skills and Experience

• A qualified Solicitor NQ-3 year's PQE with previous experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts
• Previous experience working with clients across our key sectors such as future energy, retail and/or public sector is desirable
• A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self‑motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
• Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development and an appetite for keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in your practice area and sector focus
• A keen understanding of clients' business needs and acting in the best interest of the firm and the client
• An ambitious and enthusiastic team player, able to support senior fee earners and contribute to our collaborative culture
• A proactive and analytical approach, with strong drafting, communication and organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively
