About the Role

The UK regulators implemented the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) to embed a culture of individual accountability and promote strong conduct within firms. As an SMCR Manager, you will support the Country Head UK to ensure the components of the regime work together to create a compliant outcome for ANZ. This involves overseeing SMCR activities, ensuring regulatory requirements are met, and identifying opportunities for compliance improvement.

Role Details

  • Duration: 12 Months' Secondment / Fixed Term
  • Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess ANZ's SMCR compliance approach and recommend improvements.
  • Review and update policies, procedures, and documentation related to SMCR components.
  • Support stakeholders in executing their SMCR responsibilities.
  • Lead meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders to align approaches and share best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the framework, including automation initiatives.
  • Create agendas, meeting materials, and minutes of high quality.
  • Assist in initiatives supporting the Head of Business Execution and overall operations.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience with SMCR and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing minutes.
  • Proficiency with Confluence and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
