About the Role

The UK regulators implemented the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR) to embed a culture of individual accountability and to promote strong conduct within firms. As an SM&CR Manager, you will support the Country Head UK to bring together the components of the regime and ensure they work together to create a compliant outcome for ANZ. This will involve robust SM&CR oversight (e.g., calendars, checklists, documented processes), ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements, and identifying opportunities for uplift.

Role Type: 12 Months' Secondment/Fixed Term, Full Time

What will your day look like?

  • Critically assessing ANZ's approach to SM&CR compliance and recommending improvements.
  • Reviewing and updating policies and procedures related to the regime.
  • Supporting stakeholders to fulfill their responsibilities under SM&CR.
  • Leading meetings with internal stakeholders and engaging external parties to stay updated on industry developments.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance the framework, such as automation.
  • Creating agendas, meeting materials, and minutes.
  • Supporting initiatives to assist the Head of Business Execution and the wider business.

What will you bring?

  • Knowledge and experience with SM&CR and applying it to compliance improvements.
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills; experience with minute-taking is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Confluence and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and a curious mindset.
  • A positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Understanding of Risk & Compliance Frameworks and Policies.
