Senior Manager, Treasury Front Office

AXA XL is a global Insurance and Reinsurance provider operating in over 200 countries.


This is a very exciting role for a Treasury professional who wants to help steer a high performing team within AXA XL Global Treasury, which is an integral part of the Division's Investment Department and is responsible for the division's liquidity and foreign currency management, bank relationships and credit facilities.


The role offers significant autonomy and self-direction and will primarily focus on team leadership, development & training, project management, credit facility management, cashflow forecasting and budgeting and to a lesser extent currency and investment management. In the role, the candidate will represent Treasury across the complex organization and fast moving business, managing internal and external stakeholders, and delivering projects that drive process efficiency through technology.


This permanent, full-time role is based in London, UK.


What will your essential responsibilities include?
  1. Managing relationships with key banking partners on all important topics including credit facilities, new banking services and service quality and cost, new technology and system integration, with the aim of optimizing AXA XL's banking infrastructure and supporting business growth.
  2. Providing thought leadership and credible value-adding input on all Treasury-related issues that support the (re)insurance business across all levels of the organization.
  3. Leading the Treasury Front Office Cash Management team in EU/APAC, responsible for short-term liquidity management, solutions, reporting and cash-related analytics in the region. This involves stakeholder management across multiple business functions and banking counterparties.
  4. Fostering active innovation and collaboration across all teams within the wider Investment Department and within AXA XL's Global Finance function, driving the adoption of new technologies and treasury products to support enhanced analytics.

The role will require the successful candidate to identify and build effective relationships with a range of senior stakeholders across AXA XL and AXA Group to drive ongoing exposure management and process improvement.

You will report to the Head of Treasury Front Office.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  1. Proven leadership experience in successfully managing high performing teams in complex global enterprises.
  2. Robust communication skills to articulate complex ideas and influence outcomes at all organizational levels.
  3. Outstanding analytical skills, with an inquisitive attitude, attention to detail and an ability to link the results of your own work to the broader business results and strategies.
  4. Proactive, self-motivated attitude with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment, with excellent time management skills and a capacity to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Experience in P&C (re)insurance industry, with deep understanding of insurance principles in Treasury contexts is preferred.
  6. Honor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Treasury. Additional academic or professional qualifications preferred.
