Job summary

HSBC in London is seeking a Senior Manager, Performance and Delivery to join the Global ERM/GRR support function on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is hybrid, supporting planning, governance, reporting, and end-to-end processes across ERM and GRR, with exposure to senior stakeholders.

You will help deliver initiatives on time to quality standards, enhance service catalog governance, and drive annual planning.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of governance and business management frameworks, with experience in both design and practical implementation.
• Working knowledge of workforce planning and resourcing disciplines, with the ability to support delivery against agreed plans.
• Advanced, fluent written and spoken English, with strong capability in governance and executive-level report writing.
• Ability to communicate clearly and credibly to build relationships and influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong relationship management and collaboration skills, with experience navigating constructive challenge and managing competing stakeholder priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a focus on producing accurate, high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Support the ERM and GRR Performance & Delivery team to deliver initiatives on time and to agreed quality standards, enabling effective day-to-day operations and a smooth, well-controlled BAU environment.
• Strengthen ERM and GRR infrastructure and processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency, maintaining high-quality service delivery and BAU support.
• Support delivery of enhancements to the ERM & GRR Service Catalogue, including ongoing refinement of minimum standards in line with evolving Technical User Guides (TUGs).
• Maintain, monitor and support delivery of ERM and GRR annual planning activity, including producing an executive summary that clearly articulates key priorities and delivery focus.
• Provide ERM and GRR governance support, including paper collation and distribution, minute taking, action tracking through to completion, and supporting the embedding of How We Lead as a consistent way of working.
• Support key communications, training and stakeholder deliverables to ensure they are timely, consistent and audience-appropriate, and provide oversight and delivery support for ERM/GRR audit actions, MSIIs and regulatory findings globally through to country level—ensuring central capture and appropriate resourcing to deliver priority outcomes.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager in the Performance and Delivery team (known as the Chief of Staff or Chief Operating Officer team in the industry) on a 12-month Fixed Term Contact.

Global Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Global Resilience Risk (GRR) sit within Risk and Compliance and play a central role in ensuring HSBC operates with a coherent Risk Management Framework, clear Risk Taxonomy and the tools needed to understand and operate within Global Risk Appetite. ERM and GRR help strengthen risk culture across the organisation by driving consistent risk management practices across businesses and functions at global, regional and market level. This is achieved through robust oversight and stewardship of end-to-end processes, risks and controls, ensuring alignment to risk, business and regulatory priorities—enabling the bank to grow safely, stay forward-looking and deliver its strategic objectives.

The Global Performance & Delivery team for ERM and GRR is a core part of the risk management support structure, operating with global reach across all regions and sites where Risk & Compliance operates. The Senior Manager, Performance and Delivery role supports this agenda by providing business management support and facilitating planning, management reporting, governance and operational / administrative activity across ERM and GRR.
