Join Whitbread’s Information Security Team as a Senior Information Security Manager and help safeguard our customer and colleague data. Protecting nearly £2 billion in annual transactions and a workforce of around 40,000, this role offers a unique challenge in a dynamic environment.

You’ll lead the development and implementation of information security strategies to protect Whitbread’s Commercial platforms. Managing a team of five and serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, enhancing the organisation's resilience against cyber threats.

Role: Senior Information Security Manager

Contract Type: Full-Time and Permanent

Salary: Up to £100,000 per annum

Location: Holborn, London and hybrid working with coming to the office a minimum of 3 days a week (and able to come to our Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire Office)

What you’ll be doing:

• You will lead a team to operate and support an information security Governance structure of the digital environment that provides oversight on key activities and facilitate the implementation of an agreed strategy into the Whitbread businesses.
• Drive Security Architecture Strategy and roadmap vision in alignment with Whitbread technology vision.
• Lead the assessment of new business initiatives, advising colleagues of all levels to ensure new features and products meet required standards and best practices.
• Manage strategy definition and implementation of technologies to support and deliver Information Security Strategy.
• Own and maintain Security Solutions and capabilities supporting our development pipelines and web and mobile services.
• Drive assurance processes for UK DPA, GDPR, PCI, 3^rd party and IT General controlsand operate assurance processes and establish escalation and risk reporting.
• You’ll design, implement and operate effective security controls.

What you’ll need:

• Commercial security background, particularly in digital and website payment gateways.
• Experience of securing a rapid software development lifecycle for a large commercial organisation.
• Hands on experience of implementing and maintaining Security solutions protecting Webservice and Mobile environments.
• Experience of working in a digital/Application development environment, with knowledge of development principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (ISF SoGP, ISO27000, NIST, CIS, OWAP etc.).
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, 365, Oracle).
• Able to work and collaborate at all levels.
• Budget and supplier/vendor management experience.
• Hands-on experience in major security incident management.
• Line Management experience
