We are currently seeking a Senior Manager to contribute significantly to the FS Operations team, focusing on Capital Markets. The role involves sector expertise, client engagement, identifying and delivering new business opportunities, and growing the Capital Markets business to meet revenue targets. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, passionate, and capable of enhancing our market-leading capital markets advisory team.

Description of the role:

  1. Manage programmes and projects through all key stages of transformation initiatives, from diagnostic to implementation.
  2. Proactively manage and deliver large, complex client engagements, ensuring:
  • Design and approach meet client needs
  • Scoping and production of deliverables
  • Project and financial management
  • Review of team deliverables for quality and risk
  • Liaising with clients on delivery and implementation
  • Identify business development opportunities and support sales activities such as proposal writing and client presentations.
  • Demonstrate understanding of KPMG's broader offerings to identify business opportunities.
  • Lead consulting services engagements, including advisory, implementation support, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Support business development across key propositions, challenging new delivery models and operational changes.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 4-5 people.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within the sector, leveraging industry content and delivery capabilities.
  • Role dimensions:

    Leadership & Management:

    Perform senior delivery roles, mentor team members, and contribute to sector development within Capital Markets, supporting top-line growth.

    Stakeholder Interaction & Challenges:

    Develop and convert pipelines into sales, manage bids, and lead the consulting sales cycle from RfP to implementation. Maintain strong client relationships and leverage industry expertise.

    Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:

    Ensure risk is managed across engagements, take responsibility for financials, billing, and WIP. Work as an Engagement Manager on sold projects, ensuring quality and risk management.

    Proven experience in programme/project management, consulting sales, solution development, and team leadership. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present to C-suite decision-makers.

    The Person:

    Essential experience:

    • Deep experience in buy-side, sell-side, or financial market infrastructure firms, or consulting in these areas, with exposure to significant transformation programmes.
    • Understanding of industry, market, and regulatory drivers, with the ability to identify client opportunities.
    • Knowledge of financial markets trends and transformation themes in capital markets, with expertise in at least one asset class, regulation, or function.
    • Experience leading diverse client programmes, managing resources, budgets, and recovery.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
